What is an Apprenticeship?

An Apprenticeship is a nationally recognised qualification that consists of an NVQ, Technical Certificate and Key Skills.

What is Train to Gain?

Train to Gain is a Government initiative that is aimed to up-skill the over 25 sector of the British workforce and it consists of an NVQ and possibly Basic Skills Training depending on the individual.


Where will I be trained?

All training is completed in the workplace of the learner.

 

How often will i be trained?

All our learners are visited by their assessor every month. However we are completely flexible to your needs and if necessary visits can be increased. We are also able to accommodate weekend and shift staff.

 

What qualifications are Apprenticeships equivalent to?

Level 2 Qualifications are equal to:

  • 5 GCSEs at grade A-C;
  • GNVQ at Intermediate level; or
  • Edexcel or BTEC first diploma.

Level 3 Qualifications are equal to:

  • 2 A levels;
  • Edexcel or BTEC national diploma;
  • Vocational A level (AVCE) or GNVQ (advanced level); or
  • An International Baccalaureate qualification.

Can I change my mind or move to another Apprenticeship?

Yes. You can discuss this with your Training Provider who can arrange alternative training courses for you. If you finish your program and want to progress on to the next level, your Training Provider will discuss all the options that are available to you.
