Overview

Performance management is a process by which managers and employees work together to plan, monitor and review an employee's work objectives and overall contribution to the organisation. Performance management is perhaps one of the biggest challenges of managers - it is a key responsibility for anyone who has a line management role, and along with motivating and dealing with staff development, it is an integral part of that role. Successful performance management means staff performance matches your organisation’s goals.
