Level 3 Award in Education and Training

The Level 3 Award in Education and training is an introductory, knowledge based qualificaton which can be undertaken by individuals who are not yet in a teaching role ( Pre-Service), or are currently teaching (In- Service). However, there is a minimum requirement - to take part in microteaching. Microteaching is an activity where trainee teachers prepare and deliver a short teaching and learning session to peers and then evaluate their practices.

Portfolio: This course is run on a distance basis and consists of the following:

  • A research assignment into the education and training sector
  • Based on a set series of questions from across 3 units
  • Recorded or observed training delivery for 15-20 minutes either by a qualified peer ( Or recorded and sent to me )
  • A reflective account of how you think your delivery went – and whether you feel there were any improvements

A personal statement and access to your CPD/CV for evidence purposes. With TLC – you will get full support from me directly via email, phone calls and text message where required – and the course should take you a couple of days - depending on how quickly you are able to produce assignments and gatehr evidence. ( Although there is no time limit ). In the classroom it can typically take up to 5 days depending on the provider.
