Report Writing Skills

Overview

Some academic assignments ask for a ‘report’, rather than an essay, and students are often confused about what that really means. Likewise, in business, confronted with a request for a ‘report’ to a senior manager, many people struggle to know what to write. Confusion often arises about the writing style, what to include, the language to use and the length of the document.

Most of us need to write a report at sometime. Some people write them only occasionally, while others have to draft reports on a regular basis. This course will use a structured series of related exercises and practical skills activities. You will have the opportunity to explore a range of techniques and actively practice newly learnt skills during the course.
