Level 2 Award in Food Safety

Overview

EU and UK regulations state that all food handlers must receive appropriate training in food safety practices relevant to their duties. This qualification is ideal for anyone working in the catering and hospitality industry (or those about to start work in the industry), and meets the legal requirement for people that handle food as part of their job.

Course Objectives

The aim of this training course is to prepare learners for employment in catering role, or to support a role in the workplace. Learners will build an understanding on the importance of safe food handling practices and keeping foods safe.
