Lone working is now a key feature of many job roles. It is not necessarily an inherently dangerous practice; however, if lone working is a key part of your daily work then it’s important that you’re aware of the health and safety risks that you might face. This training will provide guidance on how to keep lone workers healthy and safe. It is aimed at anyone who employs or engages lone workers, and also at self-employed people who work alone.
Every day, thousands of people are exposed to situations where they are left alone in work premises, or when visiting members of the public during their working day. This course acts as an introduction to personal safety for lone workers and applies to those that work alone within business premises, mobile workers and homeworkers.
The aim of this training course is to raise awareness and build the confidence of lone workers within an organisation. The personal safety of the lone worker is extremely important as they are at a high risk of verbal and physical abuse.
